Your completed form will give the employer their first impression of you and your abilities so it is important that you complete the form with care.


Listed below are points to assist you.

  • Use either a blue or black pen to complete the form. Some forms stipulate that a black pen is needed
  • Write in neat, clear, straight lines#
  • Check the correct spelling of any words you are unsure of
  • When completing exam results, make sure the grades and subjects are correct
  • Always use full sentences
  • When completing 'Reason for Applying for the Post' remember to use any experience gained through work experience or voluntary jobs
  • Avoid crossing out
  • Try to complete all sections of the form
  • When a section does not apply, write N/A (Not Applicable)
  • Your references must not be a family member but someone who knows you well
  • Remember to sign and date the completed form
